I love my music career, but my greatest joy in this life is helping animals to feel loved and safe. I'm very grateful to have met my amazing cat, Quince, who makes my days so much brighter, and for the 3 amazing years I had with my sadly now passed cat, Sunny, who was my entire world.

I met them both at Bideawee, an incredible no kill animal shelter for cats and dogs in New York. I volunteer with Bideawee every week, and I help make the cats there feel braver and more confident through spending time with them, learning their behaviours, learning what makes them feel scared and helping them to trust humans after some of their very rocky pasts with people. At the shelter, each animal has a very different back story. Some are from stores in the city, some from families who can sadly no longer care for the animal, some from the streets, some from hoarding situations, some whose owners passed away. A huge range of situations and emotions. I am so proud to work alongside their incredible staff to assist their work making these animals feel loved, helping them to get ready for their forever home.

In 2025 I was awarded a Bideawee Hero award for my volunteering and advocacy for the work we do, which is one of my proudest moments!
